What He Thinks and Likes, Matters Most.....

Wow, talking about major neglect! Haven't been updating my blog for months.

The year is coming to an end and it's time for holiday planning again. I like to think it as a family getaway from the city and also a reward for our girl for doing well in her final exam.  Strangely enough, some still say not to put pressure on our kid especially it is just the beginning of her long study journey but I beg to differ.  When our kid was in kindy, many used to tell me, "haiya, only kindergarten la, no need to be so serious". And now that she is in primary one, I still hear comments like, "it's ok la, she is just in standard one, don't push and don't put pressure".   Well, to me, if we don't start instilling the importance of books and studies in them now, when should we start.  Anyhow, thus far, our girl has been consistent in her school work and we are mighty proud of her. She makes her daddy most happy :-)

On a different note, my hubby took us to look at some cars yesterday.  He test drove the Volkwagen Golf (or was it GTI?) and the Volvo S60 model.  He falls in love with Scirocco for it's sporty and the price is pretty reasonable for a continental car.  Where else, I'd prefer the Volvo S60 as it has better safety features.  I used to think why on earth we need to spend so much on a car? After all, it's just a machine that takes us from one destination to another.  But now, I am convinced.  Age is catching up and my hubby believes that we should enjoy our lives now.  He has been dreaming of getting a new car and whether or not he is getting a sports car or a sedan, he shall have my full support.  Money is secondary. After all, money is earned to be spent and not to look at.  Whatever it is, Go! Darling Go! Buy whatever you like. As long as you are happy, we are all behind you :-)

Welcome the Year of Bunny 2011...

Today is already the 7th day of Chinese New Year and time passes by so quickly. CNY appears to be getting quieter each year. Probably it's due to the fact that I am getting old.

Unlike previous years, this year is pretty stressful for me. It could be due to the fact that we had a shorter holiday break this time around and coupled with our child having a little problem settling down in her new school. She has been crying for more than a week now. My temper went flying high and low trying to convince her to stop crying. On the other hand, my "coolest" hubby doesn't seem to treat this as an issue at all. As long as she still goes to school and follows her lessons attentively, her crying isn't something that can't be dealt with. Haha!

Stress aside, I received wonderful compliments on my home-baked cookies. It definitely serves as a motivation to keep me baking them for the years to come provided I don't neglect my hubby. Apparently, he finds me spending too much time in the kitchen than with him. Another big crying baby!..Haha!..;-))

Anyway, fingers and toes crossed that our little one's crying will end ASAP and Gong Xi Fa Chai to all!!!
